Carmelitas

Ever since I joined Pinterest, I've stumbled upon tons of new recipes, many of which I can't wait to try out. One of the recipes I couldn't wait to try out was the Carmelitas. The post was from Lulu the Baker, and the pictures were just too delicious and mouth-watering so I knew I just had to try them out.

I decided to try out the recipe and have my new co-teachers taste them, and they ended up being a great hit. So what are they? It's mainly like an oatmeal cookie sandwich, with chocolate and caramel as the filling. I also tried using maple instead of caramel, and it was also well received by my friends.

It's been a long time since I've found something new worth offering, and I'm glad I stumbled onto this.

So here they are...Carmelitas!

Something New is MARCHing In

Okay, so it's been awhile since I've updated this website. I feel really guilty for not coming up with anything new to post. Which got me thinking...


Lately, I've been obsessed with looking for great recipes to try during my free weekends. Okay, I've always looked up recipes but lately I've been able to find enough time and resources to actually try them out.  So, I thought it would be very interesting if I place the recipes of my successful weekend food ventures here to share with everyone else. 

Beginning this March, I'll be posting some of the things I've cooked up in our kitchen. Don't worry, it won't be limited to sweet things. I'm mostly into Italian food, so there will be a lot of pasta, and I'm also trying to eat better so there might be some healthy dishes. I might even share some of my own personal and original recipes.

And so, watch out for my posts! Hopefully you'll love each one.

Cupcake Lollies

Okay, this post is like months overdue.

I tried making these cake pops after seeing them from one of my favorite blogs, bakerella.com. It's a great combination of moist cake and frosting, coated with rich chocolate. For now, I've limited myself to making them as cupcakes.

They're just like little cupcakes that you can't help but pop into your mouth!

Valentine's Bouquet

Here is something I came up with for this coming Valentine's Day --- a bouquet of chocolate flowers! This will solve every boy's problem of whether to get flowers or a box of chocolates for that special girl.

Plain and Simple

While I really enjoy coming up with new designs for my cupcakes, I always make a batch that is simply frosted with my different flavors. This way people can enjoy and really appreciate the taste of my cupcakes. It also becomes easier for them to determine their favorite flavor.

You can enjoy my Plain and Simple cupcakes with Vanilla, Chocolate, and Cream Cheese Frosting. These cupcakes are available with a chocolate or buttermilk cupcake base, but are best with a buttermilk base. Just specify your choice upon ordering.

Strawberry Bon Bon

Each bite of this chocolate bon-bon will give you the irresistible rich flavor of chocolate, and the soft sweet flavor of strawberries.

Oreo Truffles

As a kid, I enjoyed the twist-lick-dunk combo when munching on some OREO cookies.

Now, I think it's time to enjoy OREOs in a new way. How? By transforming them into some truffles! Just add a bit of cream cheese, coat them in chocolate, and roll them on some OREO crumbs, and....VOILA! We have some soft and delicious OREO truffles munch on.

Cookies N' Cream Comfort Bars

Whenever I find myself craving for some good chocolate, the first one that comes to mind is ever reliable and delicious Cookies N' Cream. So naturally, it was the first chocolate recipe that I just had to try and perfect myself.
